More than 20 years ago, after having worked for some of the most respected public relations and public affairs firms in the Pacific Northwest, I started Amico Public Relations.  As a “generalist” I’ve represented a healthy cross-section of interests, including professional sports, an airline, Superior Court judges, restaurants, and coffee. Some of my more recent work has been for clients in the professional services, built environments, healthcare, senior living, consumer goods and public service sectors.

In 1998, I joined the press advance team for the Clinton White House. As a press lead, I traveled all over the world anywhere from one to three weeks in advance of Presidential and First Lady visits, and served as a liaison to the White House Press Corps and local media.

I rarely submit for awards but am proud to note that in June 2014 I returned from NYC with a Silver Anvil Award (an industry "Oscar") for my work on the Dalai Lama Environmental Summit of May 2013. This was my second Silver Anvil in as many attempts - my first was in 2006 for work on Travel Oregon’s “Oregon Bounty” campaign.

I take pride in being a strategic thinker and planner, and in consistently exceeding client expectations. PR is my game, and I play to win... and have fun along the way.
